The existing buildings consist of a farmhouse, an old sheep barn which has previously been converted to form part of the house, and a barn which has recently undergone renovation.

Our approach was to add a contemporary extension connecting the house and the barn. We wanted to reveal and celebrate the existing house and barn, ensuring any new additions are clearly new and readable as distinct from the existing.

Our client wanted to celebrate the beautiful stone material of the barn, so this wall was left exposed, adding a beautiful complimentary palette of zinc and oak.
