As part of a multi-disciplinary scheme lead by Cushman and Wakefield, EDable Architecture were successful in winning the tender to develop Loftus’ ambitious proposals for the Future High Streets Fund. Building on the strengths of an existing recent masterplan EDable worked closely with a wide variety of community stakeholders to develop proposals for a community focussed flexible and sustainable vision for the high street in Loftus.
The project involved identifying a number of key strategic sites along and around the highstreet that with carefully targeted investment would combine to transform the town’s offer to residents and visitors. The proposed masterplan centred around consolidating the town’s historic marketplace – whilst providing a complimentary ‘contemporary marketplace’ at the opposite end of the high street.
